I couldn't stop reading it once I started. Very detailed. Very easy to read. I hope there are more to come.
There are a lot of telling than showing. There are not enough intimate emotions expressed. Josh's voice sounds like Madison's. There are not enough descriptions of the scenes to place me (the reader) in the story, meaning, I didn't feel the connection of the story. The pace is too fast. Look into Word Painting by R. MaClanahan and Showing & Telling by L. Alberts for starters. There are classes with these books too. (I'm not promoting the books, nor the classes, I'm just sharing knowledge). If I hurt your motivation to write, don't let it. Like a vampire needing that red cocktail, I feed on the criticisms. It makes me want to write more and deeper. Keep writing girlfriend!
